Dr. Muhn is a Canadian Board certified dermatologist and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is also a dedicated dermatologic surgeon and practices in Burlington, Ontario.
He graduated from the McMaster University medical programme, known for its unique and leading medical education. Thereafter, Dr. Muhn completed his five year residency at McGill University in Montreal, followed by an additional fellowship year in Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery and cosmetic surgery, also at McGill University.
Dr. Muhn is an assistant professor of medicine at McMaster University and a surgical consultant at the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton. Not only is he an expert on skin conditions and on skin care, but his surgical training enables him to perform complicated skin surgery and reconstruction. These unique qualifications allow him to offer cosmetic surgery and procedures to his patients and make him a rare specialist.
Dr. Muhn has opened a new state of the art dermatology centre on the north side of Burlington. Named Dermetics, Centre for Medical, Surgical and Cosmetic Dermatology, this type of integrated full service specialty office provides various types of dermatologic care. Some of the cosmetic procedures and surgical services provided include Botox injections, laser and intense pulse light therapy for skin blemishes, lip augmentation, neck rejuvenation, chemical peels, treatment of facial and leg veins, removal of benign lesions, reduction of facial wrinkles, tumescent liposuction and body sculpturing, acne scar surgery, hair transplantations and injections of dermal and soft tissue fillers to restore a youthful appearance.
